Hi! My name is Laura and I'm based in Milan, Italy.
I'm a Front-end developer and a career switcher. While working in the finance department at a software company, I got curious about coding. I proved my hand at it and discovered it's something I enjoy immensely.

I took the plunge and and I pursued the full SheCodes curriculum, where I learned all about the basics of front-end development. I started with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; I became familiar with tools like VS Code, GitHub, and Figma; and I dived into exciting technologies including React.js, Bootstrap, consuming APIs, and Responsive development. I had a blast!

At present, I am working as a freelance front-end developer for Italian and international clients on fully customized web projects, while I keep expanding my knowledge - I've dipped my toes in Typescript and Swift, and I have learnt about the Agile and Scrum project management frameworks.

Now, it's time for me to challenge myself and take the next step in my career in coding.

As a career switcher, I bring with me everything that I've learned in the past years at work: Communicating with colleagues from diffent backgrounds and cultures, organizing work for myself and my team, collaborating with others towards a common goal, and just being a nice person to work with - or so my colleagues say!

I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me!
